In most organisations there is one, in some there are many. In ours, proportionally, there are a quite a lot of us. What are we referring to? “Petrol heads”, or for political correctness, “car enthusiasts”. When not in the office, Shahin Fard (CEO of Bravr) is a serious car enthusiast spending his free time working on cars. So it was great news to the team when Mark Founder and CEO of Torque Developments agreed to let Bravr redesign and rebuild their website.
“Personally I’ve been using Torque Developments International as my tuner for over five years, they’ve mapped my GTR and recently completed an engine build which should deliver over 900 ponies. It was great to be able to reciprocate with a freshly designed website.” Shahin Fard, CEO of Bravr Ltd.
Previously the website was based on OSCommerce with static front end pages. This meant the Torque Developments International team were not able to update content without going through development. The design (not to offend) was archaic, not responsive to mobile and not search engine friendly. We felt strongly that their online presence didn’t reflect their offline presence. Their workshop is so clean you could eat your dinner off the floor (not that I would recommend doing so).
Mark Catchpole, CEO and Founder of Torque Developments said this about us: “As a high performing company that lives or dies by it’s ability to achieve exceptional results for clients, we are very demanding of our commercial partners. Working with Bravr to produce an industry leading website, we have been impressed with their design and project management capabilities, and their communications and client involvement gave us the confidence that we require. We would highly recommend their services.”
We chose to build the website on WordPress for its simplicity and user friendly WYSIWYG editor. It was designed by fellow car enthusiast Ian at our sister agency Creative Theory. In most organisations spending all day looking through pictures of cars would be grounds for dismissal, however this was a client the “car enthusiasts” at Bravr enjoyed working on, spending weeks getting the right imagery for the website.
Torque Developments International provide both B2B and B2C, their clients range from serious car enthusiasts to motorsport teams. They have created performance packages – with the almighty Nissan GT-R being the first of many to be added to the website. They also offer Education through the Academy of Motosport Sciences which is run by Sam Borgman, the Technical Director.
Now the team at Bravr are looking forward to the next phase of development; the complete redesign of the eCommerce shop based on a Magento framework.
